Hailakandi’s Papree Deb Wins Bronze at the 14th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2026 Hyderabad | Staff Reporter: Papree Deb, a resident of Hailakandi district, Assam, has brought pride to her district by winning a bronze medal at the 14th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2026. She competed in the Senior Under-40 Female Individual Category and delivered an impressive performance at the national level. The prestigious championship was held from 12th to 14th December 2025 at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, Telangana. The event was organized by the Telangana Taekwondo Association under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India, which is recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, and affiliated with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Papree Deb showcased exceptional technical skill, discipline, and dedication while competing against experienced athletes from across the country. Her strong performance in a highly competitive field earned her the bronze medal, reflecting years of rigorous training and commitment to the sport. Her achievement has generated immense joy and enthusiasm among sports lovers, coaches, and sports organizations in Hailakandi district and beyond. Many have extended their congratulations and expressed confidence that she will achieve even greater success at national and international platforms in the future.
